R470a (HFO) 10 lb "NO-HFC's" EPA, SNAP ASHRAE Approved, with
PROSEAL PRODRYXL4

On January 1, 2022, the U.S. officially started its phase down of HFC refrigerants, such as R-410A and R-404A.

Beginning this year, 2023, the production of HFC refrigerants will be reduced by 10%, while a steeper cut comes in 2024, when production must be reduced to 60% of the baseline established by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

On January 23rd 2023, our eBay community began to remove all R410a & R404a listings from the site.

We have happy to be able to offer a new refrigerant, R470a which is not a HFC.

R470a is a HFO and is Environment friendly !

R470a is the LOWEST GWP and the Only NON-FLAMMABLE Retrofit Replacement Refrigerant for R410A

R470a has an ASHRAE designation of R470A and is now available in the United States.

This revolutionary refrigerant is the only retrofit replacement for R410A in existing systems.

R470a (HFO) 10 Lbs. with PROSEAL-XL4 & PRODRY-XL4

  • This product combines our ProSeal XL4 & ProDry XL4 into the refrigerant for easy charging.

  • Seals leaks and removes moisture in your system.

  • Forms a hard seal on metal, schrader valves, orings, gaskets, a/c condensers, evaporators, line sets and solder joints.

  • Even though ProSeal XL4 can form a seal on the schrader valve, when you hook up to it the seal will release and allow you to use the schrader if necessary.

  • If there is still ProSeal XL4 in the system it will reseal the schrader.

  • Enviro-Safe ProDry XL4 contains a dehydrating agent that converts system moisture into oil.

  • This product performs best in heat pumps, split and mini- split units, packaged units, microchannel coils, coolers, and commercial units.

  • Applications: heat pumps, split systems & mini split units, packaged units, and microchannel coils

  • No need to pump-down R470a or R410a systems.

Say hello to the New R410a replacement, R470a!

You will be receiving a EPA Approved Equipment sticker to place on your unit showing the unit has been converted to the new environmentally friendly "NON-HFC" refrigerant R470a.

R410a Replacement

Can R470a be added to systems containing R410a without materially affecting the performance of the whole system?

First and foremost, the EPA does not condone, recommend or approve of mixing any refrigerants.

*Mixing of refrigerants is allowed in other countries however!

However, R470a does not form an azeotropic mixture with R410a.

Therefore, if a technician inadvertently or unknowingly adds R470a to a system containing R410a the system will not generate any higher pressures and will operate as normal without any harm to system components.

*True Drop-In Replacement for R410

*No Oil Changes

*No System Changes Required

*Made in the USA

The only refrigerant for all R410a applications!

R470A is EPA SNAP approved and A1 ASHRAE certified as non-flammable and non-toxic.

The refrigerant does not require design modifications or component changes.

R470a can operate with existing polyol ester (POE) oils present in R410A systems.

R470a is an HFO blend, which is the environmentally friendly alternative to the commonly used HFC blend in other refrigerants.

Using R470a as a replacement is easy.

Just use the same tools, test instruments, and recovery machines as you use with a R410A system.

R470A can accommodate state and federal legislation as they phase out high-GWP refrigerants, such as R410A with a 2088 GWP.

R470A is formulated to be trouble-free and works with all R410A compressors, system components and POE oils.

R470a has similar properties to R410A, including discharge pressure, discharge temperature, energy efficiency, and cooling capacity.

R470a adds up to an ideal replacement for R410a.

Clearly label the system to show it contains R470A.

1) Ensure the right equipment is available (e.g., recovery unit and cylinders, container for recovered lubricant, vacuum pump, weighing scales, replacement drier, etc.)

2) Record baseline data to establish the normal operating conditions for the equipment

3) Check the manufacturer’s specifications for the unit to find the recommended R410A charge in order to determine the amount of R470A to add.

4) Replace the filter/drier if moisture is suspected in the system. This is not necessary on a sealed system.

5) Having evacuated the system, liquid charge the unit with R470A up to 90% of the original charge amount of R410A and then compare to baseline data.

6) Switch on the unit and compare the baseline data, monitor sight glasses, suction line pressure and temperature, and discharge temperature; add additional R470A up to the recommended R410A system charge amount as needed.

7) Where a thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) is present, and for optimum performance, make adjustments to attain the sweet spot.

This is not necessary for residential systems.

8) Check system thoroughly for leaks; and repair as needed.

9) Clearly label the system to show it contains R470A. You will receive a label with the refrigerant.

Switch on the unit and compare the baseline data, monitor sight glasses, suction line pressure and temperature, and discharge temperature; add additional R470A up to the recommended R410A system charge amount as needed.
