R455A (Solstice® L40X) is a mildly flammable (A2L) R404A alternative for low, medium and high temperature applications in new systems.
Its ultra-low GWP of only 145 (below 150) makes it an F-gas-ready solution.
It also provides a close capacity match to R404A, extended operating envelope when compared to propane or air conditioning refrigerants, and high energy efficiency.
R455A is an excellent refrigerant option for commercial refrigeration, low temperature applications and can be used across many segments of the HVACR industry, like:
- small charge, plug-in type cabinets
- condensing units and monoblocks for cold rooms and freezer rooms
