Refrigerant R502

Refrigerant R-502 is an obsolete, ozone-depleting CFC/HCFC azeotropic blend of 48.8% R-22 and 51.2% R-115, primarily used for low-temperature commercial refrigeration before being phased out in 1995. It was favored for offering lower discharge temperatures and higher capacity than R-22, enabling single-stage, low-temperature, 1990s-era refrigeration.
