Refrigerant R500

R500 is an azeotropic blend of CFC-12 (73.8%) and HFC-152a (26.2%) historically used in commercial air conditioning, chillers, and dehumidifiers. As a CFC-based refrigerant with a high Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP), its production was banned in the US in 1995. It is non-flammable, colorless, and odorless.
