Refrigerant R408a

R408A is a near-azeotropic HCFC blend (R-22/143a/125) used as a, now largely phased-out, interim retrofit for R-502 in low/medium temperature commercial refrigeration. It offers similar performance to R-502, often without requiring oil changes, but has high global warming potential and is being replaced by environmentally friendly alternatives.
