The handle is "EXTRA LARGE" so the can, can be inverted (turned upside down) and will rest nicely on the handle and let you charge in a liquid state.

Liquid Charging Base & Piercing Valve Can Taper
Top Mount, Screw-On Can Taper with 1/4" male flare hose connection and this is a piercing style can taper.
