Refrigerant R134a

R134a (1,1,1,2-Tetrafluoroethane) is a non-flammable hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerant widely used in automotive air conditioning, domestic refrigerators, and commercial cooling systems. It replaced the ozone-depleting R-12 in the 1990s, offering 0 Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP). Due to its high global warming potential (GWP of 1,430), it is currently being phased down in favor of more environmentally friendly options like R-1234yf
