Our cans have a 1/4" male flare fitting on top (Standard R12 size for all Auto A/C R12 systems low-side).
The hose connection, or the top can fitting, has a internal valve core for the new "self-sealing" feature required by the EPA as of 2020.

The hose connection, or the top can fitting, has a internal valve core for the new "self-sealing" feature required by the EPA as of 2020.
You do not need a can taper for our cans but the hose you connected to it must have a valve core depressor and must be in good shape or it will not depress the can properly.
We also have a on/off valve that you can connect to our can for better refrigerant flow control. Please visit our eBay Store and enter the part# SF5050 in the search box and you will see this excellent control which also has a 1/4" male flare hose connection.
We do recommend it as it is reusable and can be used on all our 28 oz. cans.Thank you
