Refrigerant R11

R11 (Trichlorofluoromethane) is a phased-out, low-pressure chlorofluorocarbon
(CFC) refrigerant once widely used in large centrifugal chillers for commercial air conditioning. Banned in 1995 due to high ozone depletion potential (ODP), it is now only available through reclamation for servicing existing equipment. It is also used as a cleaning solvent for HVAC systems.
